How we work

Four stages, one clear line.

A simple, proven design process, so you always know what happens next, what it costs and what you need to decide.

  1. Brief & feasibility

We visit the site, listen to how you want to live or work and test what is possible, with a cost range and timeline.

  2. Concept design

Sketches, physical models and a 3D walk-through explore two or three directions before we refine one together.

  3. Approvals & technical

We prepare the planning application, coordinate the engineers and draw every detail your builder needs.

  4. On site & handover

We inspect the work, answer the contractor's questions and stay with you until the final certificate.

Low-carbon by design

Materials chosen for beauty and carbon.

We measure embodied and operational carbon from the very first sketch, favouring timber, lime and recycled steel, so every building is beautiful, efficient and ready for a net-zero future.

  • Whole-life carbon assessment on every project
  • Passive design first: orientation, daylight and shading
  • Local, low-impact materials that age well

Claire & Tom H.Hillcrest House

The new library doubled our visitors in its first year. Studio Linea listened to staff, readers and neighbours, and it shows in every corner.

Dana OkaforAshgrove Community Trust

Our team actually wants to come to the office now. The daylight, the timber and the acoustics are better than we ever imagined.
